Expanded Function Dental Assistants
Vikki and Amanda are our EFDAs. They assist Dr. Kraig through various procedures and help guide patients through their treatment. They are also responsible for collecting preliminary impressions, taking X-rays, making quality temporary restorations, and placing permanent restorations.
Vikki has been with our office for almost 30 years. She has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and helping people feel better about their smile.
Outside the office, Vikki is a taxi driver to her daughter and son who do numerous activities such as dance, softball, basketball, and baseball. She enjoys watching and cheering on her children at all their sporting events, in addition to reading, camping, and being outdoors.
Amanda joined the team in 2007. She enjoys solving problems and helping people through stressful situations. Her goal is to ensure that patients leave feeling cared for and comfortable with their treatment.
At home, Amanda loves spending time with her husband Chad and pets Garfield and Rockie. She enjoys cooking and is always on the lookout for new recipes. An avid DIYer, she loves finding new projects to start and always seems to have something torn apart around the house.
Our front office receptionists Jen and Barb are two of the first people patients meet when they come into the office. In addition to greeting patients and their families as they arrive for their visits, they also coordinate billing and insurance, and schedule appointments to be as convenient as possible.
Jen has been a part of our team since 2008. With her warm and friendly smile, she always makes sure our patients feel welcome during their visits. Jen loves meeting new people, building relationships with them, and seeing them smile at the end of an appointment.
When she’s not working, Jen enjoys hanging out with her husband, daughter, and dog Buddy. The family enjoys camping, hiking, going to the zoo, and going to sporting events. Jen also loves playing and reading stories with her daughter, cooking, and baking.
Sandy and Lindsay take care of our patients’ oral hygiene care and periodontal treatments. Much of their time is also focused on patient education, teaching patients about the connection between oral health and overall body wellness, and how best to keep their mouths in excellent condition between visits.
Sandy earned her Associate’s degree in dental hygiene in 1982 and became a part of our practice in 1996. She enjoys meeting new people and appreciates the relationships she has developed with so many wonderful patients through the years.
When she is not working, Sandy enjoys spending time taking care of her family.
Lindsay became certificate in dental assisting in 1998 and went on to earn her Associate’s degree as a registered dental hygienist. She joined Dr. Kraig’s team in 2003. Getting to know patients and making a positive difference in their lives are just two of the reasons why Lindsay loves her job!
Lindsay was recently married in October 2017 and has three fur babies!
